"So this is the place where all roads lead to, and we believe that the insurgents will try to make a surge in their attacks inside Baghdad because of its value in trying to convince the people that this government cannot protect them."
The Pentagon announced Friday that it has temporarily increased its force in Iraq from about 138,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 to 152,000 troops to provide extra security for the October 15 referendum.
